I was looking for a cheap concealer and came across this Insight Cosmetics Pro concealer palette. It not only contains a concealer but also includes contour and color corrector as well.
It has two corrector shades one orange and one peach, two contour shades, and two concealer shades one for lighter skin and one for medium to darker skin tone.
Packaging
It comes in a cardboard box inside which contains a round box that has all the shades. The packaging is durable.
Texture
It has a creamy texture that blends better with your hands than compared to a brush.
Insight Concealer Palette shades and uses
- Green – It hides redness
- Purple – It removes yellow tones on our skin.
- orange – corrects dark circles of medium to dark skin tone.
- Peach – to correct dark circles on fair skin tones.
- yellow – It is used to address the appearance of bruises and veins that carry purple undertones.
- dark brown – this shade is used to contour the face.
- light brown – this shade is be used to conceal and even out uneven skin tone.
Insight Cosmetics Color Corrector review
So my skin tone is fair with yellowish undertones and my under-eye circles are pretty dark.
As you can see in the picture I have applied an orange corrector on one side and a pink corrector on the other.
The concealer is not able to conceal the color corrector properly and leaves a light orange tint which is clearly visible when the orange color corrector is used. When the pink color corrector is used it gives a very ashy appearance to the eyes.
I tried these color correctors in various ways. I applied lesser quantities of both correctors but in that case, it is not able to properly hide the dark circles and the pink color corrector is still giving that ashy appearance.
who should use the Insight Cosmetics Pro color concealer?
one of the major pros of this palette is that it is really cheap, so if you are on a budget or if you are a beginner then you can start with this Insight Pro color-correcting palette. but unfortunately, this palette is not suitable for all skin tones. use this palette when you have light pigmentation otherwise, it will give you an ashy appearance and the concealer will not conceal properly.
